PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Nicknamed the “Plastics Guru,” J.R. has helped source plastic waste from primary manufacturers and other recyclers for the past 8 years and supplied recycled plastic to several end users who rely on this material.

Before joining Northstar Recycling, J.R. was a stock and commodities broker for 17 years. His experience in the fast-paced financial sector has helped him respond quickly to suppliers and customers alike. He is very proud that when he continuously supplies an end user with a recyclable commodity that the value he brings to them may help keep them in business during challenging economic times.

EDUCATION

J.R. holds a Bachelor of Business Arts in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, 1983.

J.R. AFTER WORK

A long-time avid hoops fan, J.R. was named an All-Western Massachusetts basketball player in 1978. These days, he loves coaching young players. Two championship banners hang at the local Jewish Community Center, where he coached a 16- to 18-year old boys team in 1997, and in 2011, when he coached the 8th grade CYO champions with his son Jordan playing on the team. He enjoys spending time with his fiance Rochelle, and is the proud father of four wonderful children, Lauren, Zachary, Jordan and Isaac.
